Add to Calendar 26-01-2013 26-01-2013 15 Hudson Chorale: On Strings of Song Hudson Chorale, Westchester's largest mixed chorus, launches its 2012-2013 season with an exhilarating concert designed to appeal to all musical tastes, from the Classical to the Modern to the Great White Way. Titled "On Strings of Song," the program features an eclectic mix of inspiring works by Mozart and Mendelssohn, tender, jewel-like love songs by the modern master, Eric Whitacre, a stirring anthem by Lukas Foss, and well-loved choruses from the musical stage by composers Gershwin and Sondheim, all accompanied by a string ensemble. A sumptuous post-concert reception, a long-standing Hudson Chorale tradition, will be held in the parish hall immediately following the concert. The program is in keeping with the chorus' goal of providing both audience members and singers with the best possible experience in choral singing, offering a repertoire that ranges from the great masterpieces to contemporary compositions. Michael Conley is the Music Director of the Hudson Chorale. Mr. Conley enjoys a multi-faceted career as a conductor, composer, pianist, organist, and singer. In addition to serving as Music Director of the Hudson Chorale, Mr. Conley is Music Director of the highly popular West Village Chorale and the Judson Memorial Church in Manhattan.
