Instructor Stephanie Hinkaty will introduce parents (and parents-to-be) to sign language, explain when babies are developmentally ready to understand and then express themselves through hand gestures, demonstrate simple ways to incorporate signs into everyday activities, and discuss research that has proven both the short- and long-term benefits of infant sign language on verbal expression, cognitive development, social interaction, and IQ.
