Add to Calendar 11-05-2013 11-05-2013 15 2nd Annual Riverkeeper Sweep The second annual Riverkeeper Sweep is a day of service throughout the Hudson Valley to help clean the shoreline of the Hudson River. Volunteer to help clean up shorelines, plant trees, and more. In 2012 the Riverkeeper Sweep engaged 450 volunteers, who cleaned up seven tons of shoreline trash and planted more than 100 trees in 30 Hudson River communities. In 2013, they aim to double their impact with the help of new partners, The Great Saw Mill River Cleanup program of Groundwork Hudson Valley, Keep Rockland Beautiful, Make Poughkeepsie Shine, and Empire Dragon Boat Teams. Riverkeeper expects as many as 1,000 volunteers to take part in the 2013 Riverkeeper Sweep.
