"Peter and the Wolf" brings to life the story of a young boy who finds himself confronted with a difficult problem: how to save the animals surrounding his grandfather's estate from the clutches of a wolf. Prokofiev created "Peter and the Wolf" with the intention of educating children about musical instruments; each animal in the story is musically represented by a different instrument or instrumental family. It is a timeless children's classic.
The opening show at New York City's Florence Gould Hall will be May 25 at 1pm with additional shows on May 26.
