Add to Calendar 17-08-2013 17-08-2013 15 African Drumming with Wolves Many believe drumming is a healer of the body, mind, and soul, as well as the earth and the creatures that live here together. Cadence Carroll's "Drumming with wolves" workshop will be dedicated to learning the basics of African Percussion, focusing on how to hold the drum, create the three basic tones, and play without pain. Participants will focus on listening to the drummers around them, gaining confidence, and experiencing the joy of African Rhythms, while learning one African Rhythm, then joining Barbara Garriel in singing her original and inspirational song, "One Voice," in the spirit of protecting the wolves. After the 45-minute workshop, guests will visit Ambassador wolves Atka, Alawa, and Zephyr as well as the WCC's critically endangered red and Mexican gray wolves. Don't forget a camera. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited. Information and registration are available at nywolf.org. http://www.nymetroparents.com/2014neweventinfo.cfm?id=141414 Wolf Conservation Center true DD/MM/YYYY
