Add to Calendar 24-10-2013 24-10-2013 15 Food Day Stop by the Nyack Farmer's Market to help the community mark the 3rd annual Food Day, a national initiative created by the Center for Science in the Public Interest and powered by a diverse coalition of food movement leaders and organizations throughout the US. Special events include: A Fresh Produce Food Drive for People to People; Cooking Demonstrations and Talks by Diane Hoch, The Food Evolution; The Healthy Egg: Chicken Raising in Your Backyard presented by Tracy Kachtick-Anders; Mindful Eating presented by Michelle Kleinman, Nutritionist, Rockland County Health Department; Edible Landscapes Featuring Reconnecting Roots; and Sugars and Dats, a discussion led by Denise Roma, Nutritionist, Nyack Hospital. Separately, at 4pm, Nyack Library hosts an after-school program for kids ages 8-11, Eat Real!
