The Prenatal Yoga Center continues its Karma Yoga program by collecting maternity clothing for its 9th annual maternity clothing drive donation to Siena House Shelter.
Debra Flashenberg, founder and director of the Prenatal Yoga Center, states, "As a yoga center we help parents and children openly explore the mind, body, and spirit. In that, we also nourish our spirit by giving back to others, even with small actions, such as donating maternity clothing. As the community at Prenatal Yoga Center grows, we are able to band together and offer even more to the charities and organizations that are close to our heart. We choose charities and organizations that directly relate to the pre and postnatal population and that are family-centered."
By establishing an ongoing Karma Yoga program, the Prenatal Yoga Center invites students to look beyond their day-to-day lives and be conscious of how their energy and intentions can be expressed. Beginning this Nov. 20, the Prenatal Yoga Center will be collecting gently-used maternity clothing for Sienna House Shelter.
The community is invited to drop off maternity clothing at the Prenatal Yoga Center, located at 251 W. 72nd St. (between Broadway and West End Avenue) from Nov. 20-22 between 9-10am and Nov. 23 from 1-3pm.
