Add to Calendar 28-01-2014 28-01-2014 15 Mars and Mercury with Carter Emmart Join us for an evening seeing two worlds up close, thanks to new data recently synthesized by NASA that can be experienced in the Hayden Planetarium Space Theater like being there in person. The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter's Context Camera has covered over half the surface of the Red Planet at six-meter resolution. The Mercury MESSENGER mission is sending back images being made into maps that are allowing us to see the closest world to the Sun better than ever before. The terrain height has also been measured on both worlds, so together with these high-resolution image maps, the Hayden can virtually take us there and experience the similarities and differences in stunning detail. http://www.nymetroparents.com/2014neweventinfo.cfm?id=153949 American Museum of Natural History true DD/MM/YYYY
