There will be demos, expert and owner Q&A, food, and games for kids. NYC Plug-in Day features a full showcase of electric vehicles currently or soon-to-be available in New York City from GM, Mini, Nissan, Smart, Tesla, and more. Also on display will be electric vehicles used in the New York City municipal fleet, including the NYPD, Parks Department, Department of Sanitation, and Department of Transportation, as well as electric vehicles from Hertz on Demand's car sharing program. Representatives from ConEdison, Recharge Solutions, and other electric car charging infrastructure providers will be on hand to answer questions as well. New York-area electric vehicle owners will share their unique experiences with owning and driving electric cars in New York. Experts will also provide demos and discuss the unique benefits and challenges of electric vehicles in this city, the science and technology behind electric vehicles, and what to expect in the next generation of electric vehicles. NYC Plug-in Day will also offer activities for kids and families, including face painting, scavenger hunts, quizzes, gourmet food vendors, and some hands-on time with electric cars.
