February 11th, Saturday 1pm-4pm: Gift with purchase, Music, FREE face painting, complimentary hot apple cider. babyNOIR was formally the much-loved Creators’ Co-Op (www.creators-coop.com), a co-operative style boutique which became famous throughout New York City area for the quality and originality of the items it carried, which were created by carefully-chosen local designers and artists. It was Kozuru-Salifoska’s brainchild, and her lines babyNOIR and babySOLAIRE were part of the co-operative. She calls this shift of the store a “reincarnation.” The new boutique babyNOIR maintains Creators’ Co-Op’s love of hand-made goods – it carries items by some of the artists who were part of Creators’ Co-Op, it will continue to host arts and crafts classes for adults, and now it will also offer classes for children(www.babynoir.net). Within babyNOIR is a popup store, The Story Nook. The Story Nook is a small neighborhood bookstore owned by Faye Skandalakis (www.thestorynook.com) and a small sample of her children’s books, puzzles, educational games, arts and crafts and music will be available at babyNOIR. The Story Nook has a carefully curated collection of books for children and the owner’s love and expertise of the children’s book world adds a wonderful dimension to the boutique. http://www.nymetroparents.com/2015neweventinfo.cfm?id=103702 babyNOIR Boutique true DD/MM/YYYY
