Add to Calendar 02-07-2012 02-07-2012 15 Great American Concert & Picnic Celebrate the USA's birthday with an old-fashioned picnic and live concert in the great outdoors. Pack your blankets and chairs and get into the patriotic spirit on Boscobel's great lawn overlooking the West Point Military Academy and the Hudson River, one of America's most historic and inspirational vistas. Patriotic tunes will be performed by The Southern Dutchess Concert Band, a band that continues in the great American tradition set out by the John Philip Sousa Band to entertain its audiences with a wide variety of music, including crowd-pleasing show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. Gates open at 5pm for picnicking. Sparklers and US flags available for purchase in the Museum Shop.
