Add to Calendar 23-11-2012 23-11-2012 15 'The Ugly Duckling & The Tortoise and the Hare' Hans Christian Andersen's "The Ugly Duckling" has helped generations of children understand one of humanity's universal struggles. This modern staging focuses on the underlying hope of the story as the viewer roots for the ugly duckling, who exemplifies resilience and heroism along the way to becoming a beautiful swan. Aesop's fable "The Tortoise and the Hare," now more than 2,500 years old, continues to drive home the time-tested adage, "Slow and steady wins the race." The award-winning Corbian Arts and Dance join Light Wire Theater to bring these two well-known classics to life in a high-tech and dazzling production featuring glow-in-the-dark, 3D puppets, and props. Swirling shapes move, leap, and seemingly float across the stage, accompanied by a soundtrack of classical and contemporary music. http://www.nymetroparents.com/2015neweventinfo.cfm?id=121175 NYU's Skirball Center for the Performing Arts true DD/MM/YYYY
