Add to Calendar 02-02-2013 02-02-2013 15 Art In and About New York: Laura Cottingham Laura Cottingham, an artist, critic, writer and curator, discusses the rich lode of scenes of New York in the collection of the New Britain Museum of American Art, among them an Impressionist�s view of Union Square, a home scene on Manhattan�s 57th Street, an en plein air depiction of a creek near Kingston, and a Long Island domestic scene. Cottingham has taught art criticism at Cooper Union, The School of Visual Arts and Columbia University. Well-known on the international art scene, she has appeared before art audiences in London, Paris, Cologne, Berlin, Maastricht, Utrecht, Copenhagen, Vienna, Stockholm and elsewhere. She has served as a guest curator at major art museums in Europe; most recently, she juried the Swedish contemporary art annual.
