Add to Calendar 15-05-2013 15-05-2013 15 Drum and Dance Chappaqua percussionist, Norbert Goldberg, and dancer, JLyn, explore the close connection between the drummer and dancer using examples ranging from traditional African dance to hip-hop. The concept of art forms (drumming and dancing) as a means of communication is introduced. Latin American dances such as the Cuban Cha-Cha, the Brazilian Samba, and the Merengue from Santo Domingo are accompanied by typical percussion instruments and reinforce the African connection. This program offers many opportunities for group participation, culminating in a Conga line involving the whole audience. Appropriate for all ages. http://www.nymetroparents.com/2015neweventinfo.cfm?id=133548 Chappaqua Library true DD/MM/YYYY
