Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn were joined at the musical hip, producing great tunes for the Duke Ellington big band at the Cotton Club. Ellington expert Darius de Haas and Manhattan Transfer's Janis Siegel sing and scat their way through the Ellington Songbook. Jamie Bernstein fills in the historical background with little-known stories about Harlem's golden age of jazz.
