Naturalist Gabriel Willow guides participants in recording bird sightings at Wave Hill, and then submitting their observations to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. iPhones or iPads not required but recommended. Ages 12 and older welcome with an adult. Space is limited. Venue Description: See natural beauty at its finest at Wave Hill, the 28-acre public garden and cultural center in the Bronx. Overlooking the Hudson River and Palisades, Wave Hill's true view lies in the park's magnificent gardens and landscapes. Horticulture and the arts programs for children, teenagers, and teachers are hosted by Wave Hill. Its grounds serve as living laboratories for science exploration. A memorable and scenic venue location, the Wave Hill House, built in 1843, is available for meetings, conferences, celebrations, and photo shoots. Wave Hill House was home to many celebrated icons, including Theodore Roosevelt and Mark Twain.
On weekends from 10am-1pm, the whole family can enjoy with a naturally creative Family Art Project. Wave Hill's visual arts program presents artworks in the galleries and on the grounds that engage the public in a dialogue with nature, culture, and site.
