Participants(including children ages 9 and over) will get to explore the pond first hand using waders, nets, and other tools. Learn how to identify unknown, strange and fascinating creatures and test the chemical components of our pond. Science isn’t just for scientists! Engage in an afternoon of indoor science, an experiment here and there, crafts and fun. While this is an adult program, we welcome children ages 9 and up to join us as long as they are accompanied by a participating adult. Workshops may include a nature hike (weather permitting) and live animal demonstration with the animals. Space is limited. http://www.nymetroparents.com/2015neweventinfo.cfm?id=140949 Alley Pond Environmental Center true DD/MM/YYYY
