Add to Calendar 02-08-2013 02-08-2013 15 Turner Syndrome Patient Workshop The Turner Syndrome Foundation will be holding its first New York patient workshop this summer at Montefiore Medical Center. Because TS is a completely random genetic mutation and non-familial, most patients are not familiar with the condition, and therefore, diagnosis arrives later in adolescence, keeping them from obtaining critical screenings, early interventions and medical treatments. These workshops serve to educate patients about managing the condition and allow them to interact with medical professionals who have expertise in Turner Syndrome. The agenda for this workshop will include sessions on bullying, cardiac issues, genetics and Turner Syndrome, dental issues, and transitioning from pediatric to adult care. Register by visiting turnersyndromefoundation.org/events-patient.html or call 732-847-3385 for more information. http://www.nymetroparents.com/2015neweventinfo.cfm?id=141644 Montefiore Medical Center - The Grand Hall, Tishman Learning Center true DD/MM/YYYY
