In June, Governor Cuomo announced the first round of funding of $30MM for the implementation of regional sustainability plans which have been developed under the governor's $100MM Cleaner, Greener Communities program, a major statewide initiative to invest in smart growth planning and sustainability. What is "the Plan" for our region, and how will Westchester be involved and affected? Thomas Madden, commissioner of community development and conservation for the Town of Greenburgh and co-chair of the Mid-Hudson Regional Planning Consortium, presents an overview of our regional Sustainability Plan and discusses projected implementation through the region. Program presented in partnership with the Sierra Club Lower Hudson Group; designed for adults and high school students.
