Add to Calendar 23-10-2013 23-10-2013 15 Lecture by Richard Brown, MD: 'Non-Medication Treatments for ADHD: New Options for Kids, Adults, and Clinicians' Children with untreated ADHD are at greater risk for learning and emotional challenges.  Because ADHD affects every facet of life, the need for new treatments is critical.  Dr. Richard Brown, a psychiatrist known for breakthroughs in integrative mental health treatment, will discuss new treatments covered in his ground-breaking new book, Non-Drug Treatments for ADHD.   Drawing on his 30 years of experience, he will discuss a range of scientifically-grounded complementary and alternative treatments.  Emphasizing the intrinsic strengths of ADHD, Dr. Brown will cover ways to help children overcome distraction, restlessness and impulsivity, including nutrients, herbs, cognitive enhancers, mind-body practices and brain stimulation.
