Add to Calendar 11-01-2014 11-01-2014 15 What Lies Beneath- Comparative Skeletal Anatomy Scientifically speaking, science isn't just for scientists! Everyone can tell animals apart from looking at them from the outside, but can they tell them apart from looking at their bones? Come learn about the difference between animal skeletons and humans with fun interactive activities. During this program participants will learn about the different bones and their functions in some of the common animals that inhabit Alley Pond Park. Comparisons will be made between animal and human bodies. Engage in an afternoon of indoor science, experiments, crafts, and fun. While this is an adult program, children ages 9 and up are welcome as they are accompanied by a participating adult. Workshop may include a nature hike (weather permitting), and live animal demonstration with our animals. Preregistration required. http://www.nymetroparents.com/2015neweventinfo.cfm?id=152520 Alley Pond Environmental Center true DD/MM/YYYY
