Click here for the latest events.21-07-2011 12:00:00 21-08-2011 12:00:00 America/New_York "Green Currency: Plants in the Economy" | 10am-6pm Tuesday-Sunday, May 21-August 21 The New York Botanical Garden and the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA) are co-hosts of this inaugural juried botanical art show, the first medal-awarding international exhibition in the United States. The show features 43 works depicting botanical specimens used as medicine, food, clothing, or shelter. The pieces were selected from an ASBA-record 258 entries from among artists representing 14 states and 8 countries. Esteemed international contemporary botanical art collector Dr. Shirley Sherwood chairs the award jury panel. An illustrated catalog is available.
