The international program has proven to help children build better literacy skills by reading out loud to these trained pets. This training session is for humans only (pet training is done separately), and it is open to pet owners as well as educators and librarians who want to learn more about the program. Teens may take the course with a parent/guardian. Registration is required by April 6; download the registration form at hudsonvalleyvisitingpets.com.
