A Dance Studio in Larchmont Launches Zumbatonics for Kids

A Dance Studio in Larchmont, New York, now offers Zumbatonics for kids, following the success of its Zumba classes for adults.

It may be one of the oldest dance studios in Westchester, but that hasn’t stopped A Dance Studio in Larchmont from embracing the Zumba craze. After offering Zumba classes for a year, owners Yvonne Karas Rosenberg and her husband Hal opted to expand the program to provide Zumbatonics, a version of the dance workout for kids, beginning September 19. The adult class gained such popularity over the past year that it is now offered every night except for Thursday.

A dancer since she was 3, Karas Rosenberg began teaching adults and children at A Dance Studio under the original owners. When the owners were ready to retire and leave the business, the Rosenbergs took over ownership two decades ago. “It was sort of a natural next step,” says Hal Rosenberg. “Since then, we’ve expanded. It has flourished.”

In addition to the Zumba classes, A Dance Studio will now offer a Performing Princesses class for dancers that have been invited to participate in a second class. These princesses are prepared to dance at any show that comes up throughout the year. In the past, dancers have performed at the Sarah Neuman and the Osborne living facilities and Ronald McDonald House.

A Dance Studio is located at 2094 Boston Post Road in Larchmont. For information on any of the studio’s classes, including new tot classes for kids as young as 2, call 914-834-2432 or visit www.adancestudio.com.
