Check out Dinosaur Days at Yale Peabody Museum of Natural History in New Haven, CT. This weekend program gives kids an up-close, hands-on look at these prehistoric titans and the people who find them. Feb. 17-21. 10am-3:30pm.

It’s a safe bet that the slew of snow days sprung on us over the last few weeks had you scrambling for childcare and activities to fill your children’s schedules. But the upcoming long weekend (and even longer mid-winter recess in some school districts) offers a chance for some planned family outings (our editors compiled an amazing list!). From weeklong winter mini-camps (some of which offer extended care) to drop-in activities we’ve wrangled up a ton of family-friendly fun to keep your crew entertained all week long. Turn off the TVs and start the adventures!Maspeth-Federal
