Harry Potter and the Times Square Exhibit

Harry Potter: The Exhibition returns to NYC’s Times Square for a five-month run, featuring first-round favorites such as the Sorting Hat and Hogwarts’ Great Hall as well as many new artifacts from the iconic films.

Harry Potter The Exhibition in NYCHarry Potter: The Exhibition is returning to New York’s Discovery Times Square from Nov. 3, 2012 to April 7, 2013, bringing with it the first appearance of the infamous Crystal Goblet, Ron Weasley’s Deluminator, and the clothes worn by Harry, Ron, and Hermoine in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2’s legendary battle scene. Not to mention that, for the first time, all of the film’s horcruxes (including Voldermort’s snake, Nagini) are assembled together in one location — and NYC is lucky enough to play host.

After its international tour, the exhibit returns to New York City with a list of added, iconic artifacts, all created by a team of costume designers, prop masters, and set designers, permitting anxious Potter fans to set foot in the magical world of Hogwarts. The incredible artistry and craftsmanship will make you feel as if you have danced at the Yule Ball, attended Professor Snape’s class, walked through the Forbidden Forrest, and witnessed a Quidditch match. You’ll witness the renowned sorting hat at work, throw a quaffle on the Quidditch field, and pull mandrakes from the dirt in herbology class, and before you leave, you’ll be as active in the magical wizard’s world as our beloved Ron, Hermoine, and Harry.

Harry Potter battle clothes

For the first time in NYC, see the clothes Harry, Ron,
and Hermione wore in the legendary battle featured in
the last film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Inspired by the sets found in the film, the exhibit takes Potter fans through the Great Hall, Hagrid’s hut, and the Gryffindor common room. Potions, robes, wands, goblets, and quills were taken straight from the hands of Dumbledore, Hagrid, and Professor McGonagall and placed on display.

An audio tour guide includes interviews with the author, director, costume designer, and various insiders, providing those behind-the-scenes tidbits that every fan is dying to know.

With appearances by fantastical creatures such as Dobby the house elf, Buckbeak the hippogriff, and Fawkes the phoenix, the trip is nothing short of magical. The exhibit stays true to the world of Hogwarts throughout, as even the gift shop feels like a stroll through the markets of Diagon Alley.
