Dr. Cymerman has been caring for children with allergies for almost 25 years, and has been in private practice since 1987. She is a lifelong New York resident and has lived with her family in Suffolk County since her Allergy and Immunology fellowship training at University Hospital at Stony Brook. She is Board Certified in Allergy and Immunology, and treats children over 12 months of age as well as adults. Office hours include day and evening hours in order to accommodate busy lives. Allergy problems of all types are treated including hay fever, seasonal allergies, eczema, hives, asthma, sports related breathing issues, persistent cough, bee sting allergies and food allergies. Karen has extensive background in sensory integrative treatment and has been trained in Therapeutic Listening, S.O.S. Approach to Feeding and Handwriting Without Tears. She hopes the clinic serves as a community-based resource for parents who are either seeking initial services or supplemental services for their child. Maria earned her Bachelor of Science/Physician Assistant degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She has been a practicing Physician Assistant since 1983 and a patient favorite at our Wading River office for more than 15 years. Maria lives in Shoreham with her family. She enjoys golf and guitar and is an avid runner, having completed the New York City Marathon in 2002.

Kerry completed her residency in pediatrics at North Shore University Hospital and has been in private practice since 2003. She is affiliated with Stony Brook, St. Charles and John T. Mather Memorial Hospitals and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Kerry spends her “off” time with her pediatric surgeon husband and shuttling her five active children to various sports activities. Together with her three eldest children, she is a proud member of the Thomas O’Shaughnessy Bag Pipe Band!

Dr. Jay Iype received his bachelor’s degree from City College of New York and then his medical degree from New York Medical College. He completed his residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center / Schneider Children’s Hospital in Pediatrics. Before joining our practice, he worked in an urgent care setting and has an interest in acute and emergency care as well as pediatric gastroenterology (abdominal disorders, constipation). Dr. Iype is active in his church and can usually be found enjoying time with his wife and two young daughters.
