NY Salt Room Opens in Brooklyn

The NY Salt Room, Brooklyn’s first salt therapy center, opened in June offering a natural, drug-free alternative treatment for skin conditions like acne and eczema and respiratory ailments like asthma, allergies, and the common cold.

New York Salt RoomAvi Hasson has found an innovative way to soothe respiratory and skin conditions in children and adults, and all his patients have to do is breathe. In June, Hasson opened NY Salt Room, Brooklyn’s first salt therapy center. Also known as halotherapy, salt therapy is a natural, drug-free alternative treatment for skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and acne, and a range of respiratory ailments including asthma, allergies, bronchitis, pneumonia, and the common flu and cold.

NY Salt Room’s salt chambers are coated with 10 tons of natural rock salt imported from Ukraine. Patients spend time in the rooms, inhaling dry salt aerosol. It is clinically proven that this treatment helps to reduce inflammation, loosen up mucus, and kill bacteria. Hasson believes his affordable halotherapy treatment will provide relief to the 1.1 million New Yorkers who suffer from asthma.

The children’s salt room is stocked with books, toys, and games, while the adult’s salt room is designed to provide a tranquil experience. “Children are getting the treatment without even being aware they are getting treated,” Hasson says.

NY Salt Room also includes a day spa featuring body massage, reflexology, acupuncture, yoga, and sauna sessions. It is located at 1794 Coney Island Avenue. For more information, visit the Salt Room’s business page.
