Blogging From: New Jersey
Lisa Pisano is new to the mom blogosphere, launching Mom a la Mode in April 2012 after leaving corporate America in her wake. She blogs what she knows and loves—food, fashion, and pop culture—but this new mom isn’t out to give parenting advice.
A former public relations guru in Manhattan, Lisa took what she was familiar with and used it in a whole new way. What started as a simple statement made on a day at the beach, grew into Lisa’s latest digital venture. Family anecdotes, kid-friendly recipes, tips for today’s moms, and anything pop culture, complete with commentary, can be found at Mom a la Mode.
Lisa found happiness in her new career as an almost-stay-at-home mom and learned to value the little things. She spends her days with her toddler, updating her loyal readers and completing freelance projects, all from the comfort of her own home. While she may miss Manhattan’s buzz, she is content living solidly in the suburbs.
Wondering where she got the name? By combining two of her favorite things—food and fashion. Lisa is “officially in the mode,” the blogging mode, so follow her as she continues to navigate through the mom blogosphere. — Laura Brothers
