Child Nutrition Bill,
Today, Rachael Ray, TV personality and leading child nutrition advocate, will team up with fellow New Yorker Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, to lobby federal lawmakers in Washington, DC, for billions more in child nutrition funding to combat childhood obesity.
First, Ray and Gillibrand will visit third graders at Payne Elementary School, a local D.C. elementary school near Capitol Hill, to promote healthy eating before Ray heads to Capitol Hill to lobby lawmakers for improvements to the Child Nutrition Bill currently being debated in Congress.
Ray, Gillibrand, other lawmakers, and child nutrition advocates will then discuss their latest efforts to improve the Child Nutrition Reauthorization bill at 2pm today on Capitol Hill.
