Journalists, public school parents, and public school advocates dedicated to providing quality independent information about New York City’s public schools. The staff visits hundreds of schools each year and conducts invterviews (principals, teachers, students and parents) and observes what’s happening in classrooms, cafeterias, hallways, etc…

Independent School Admission Association of Greater New York

Learn more about the benefits of independent school education and how the admissions process works, and search their database for schools that fit your needs.

National Association of Independent Schools
NAIS represents approximately 1,400 independent schools and associations in the United States, and affiliates with independent schools abroad as well.

New York State Association of Independent Schools
NYSAIS is a voluntary association of about 180 independent nursery, elementary, and secondary schools. Affiliated with NAIS and the New York State Coalition for Independent and Religious Schools, it provides information, counsel, and professional development.

The Parents League of New York
A not-for-profit organization affiliated with 300 independent schools, including New York City preschools, K-12 day schools, and boarding schools. Their advisory service offers unbiased reviews of all their affiliated independent schools.
