Staten Island Zoo's Chuck the groundhog made his famous prediction this morning: Spring is coming!

Having not seen his shadow, Chuck proclaimed that winter this year will be cut short. The prediction was the highlight of an early morning ceremony at the zoo, with figures such as Mayor Bloomberg, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, and Congressman Michael McMahon in attendance.

Following the ceremony, a special breakfast was held with Chuck in his honor, featuring Groundhog's Day-inspired arts and crafts for kids and raffle prizes.
