Free Movie Night - Juguemos a Cantar

Free Movie Nights "Turbo". Movies begin at 5 PM sharp and end at 6:30 PM. During the month of August, Juguemos A Cantar will be offering free movie nights every Wednesday. Free Summer Sports Programs for Brooklyn Youth - City Parks Foundation

Summer Safety Event - Jewish Children's Museum

Visit the second annual safety event for kids this summer. Featuring a number of safety themed exhibits including a sun smart challenge and hydration activities. On Sundays, children will have the opportunity to meet and be photographed with “community heroes - safety personnel” including policemen, fire fighters, and others. Children will have the opportunity to practice safe street behaviors both as drivers on pedal go-carts and as pedestrians, in order to be awarded a “Safety City” license.

Magic at Coney has re-kindled that spark of enchantment for audiences young and old. Magical Promotions has now teamed with Peggy O’Neill’s, on the site of the original Steeplechase Park, to present an afternoon of fun and wonder for the entire family. Magic at Coney is a magical variety show highlighting a vast array of magicians; featuring illusionists, escape artists, mentalists and close-up performers. Hosted by Gary Dreifus, award-winning magician, teaching artist, mentalist, hypnotist, magic instructor and world-renowned magical host.

Science at the Fairs - NY Hall of Science

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the 1964-65 World�s Fair, NYSCI is collaborating with Queens Historical Society curator, Richard Hourahan, to bring the history of science at the World�s Fairs to NYSCI with a photo exhibit. Get a snapshot of how science was viewed and presented to the public 75 and 50 years ago. The ideas, the excitement, and the latest achievements, hopes and fears are told through a compelling series of black and white photographs and audio and video excerpts of the presentations, exhibits and visitors who flocked to the fairs. The exhibit runs through Sept. 27.

Roller Skating - Prospect Park: Lakeside

The LeFrak Center, a 16,000-square-foot covered roller-skating rink, is offering a range of activities for those new to the sport, and those with a passion for this pastime. Among the planned offerings are learn-to-skate and roller-hockey programs for youth and adults, and a roller derby program with the Gotham Girls, New York City's only all-female, DIY roller derby league. Free Skate Mondays: To ensure all in the community have the opportunity to experience skating at Lakeside, every Monday (excluding school holidays and national holidays), children 12 and under receive free rink admission between 2pm – 6pm. The program includes unlimited skating if the child is accompanied by an adult. Please note, a $6 skate rental charge applies.

Water Play - Prospect Park: Lakeside

Starting this Memorial Day, the LeFrak Center at Lakeside will transform its uncovered rink into the Park�s largest water play area for children. Free to the public, the water feature includes 41 jets that form clear streams of water that dance across the surface, so children can play while keeping cool on a hot summer day. At night, the fountains will be lit up for a spectacular display.

Park Slope's Sunday Down to Earth Farmers Market - Old Stone House

The Park Slope Farmers Market takes place every Sunday in front of PS51 at the corner of 5th Avenue and 4th Street. It is run by Community Markets of Ossining, NY. The Park Slope Farmers Market offers a wide selection of local products, including fruits, vegetables, herbs, baked goods, cheese, fish, wine, soaps and more.
