Blogging From: Bronx
Beneath the hard exteriors of tough cookies, are delectable gooey chocolate chips; sometimes it just takes a little bit of research and intuition to get there. Though on the outside, Tough Cookie Mommy, Maria Castro, is a middle school Language Arts teacher, a social media guru, and a mother of two boys. On the inside, she is a caring mother who wants the best for her sons and all of the other families out there, whether they are nuclear or not.
On her blog, Castro reviews products and movies, discusses her personal triumphs and fails, and asks for readers’ feedback on a number of internal conflicts she experiences throughout her life. She states “I have been through it all, and I will get through it all, God willing.” After reading her blog, you won’t doubt that she will. Castro is not the type of woman to stand aside and let fate have what it will with her; she is the type of woman to speak up in the playground when things have gone too far.
