Distract your children-turned-detectives from Operation: Find Where Mom Hid the Presents This Year by declaring an outdoor adventure-Mission: Find the Perfect Christmas Tree. First, consult our guide below for farms near you that offer the opportunity to cut down your own evergreen beauty. Next, bundle up and enjoy the great outdoors for a morning, afternoon, or the whole day, and make sure to take advantage of any perks, like free hot chocolate or other goodies. Finally, haul your new piney friend home for a decoration celebration.

Cherryville Farms

Edward's Trees, Wreaths and Crafts

Fleming Farms

Open December 4-5, 11-12, 18-19; 9am-4pm Saturdays; 10am-4pm Sundays. Free netting available. Tree stands for sale. Free coloring book for kids. Hot chocolate available.

 

Hidden Pond Tree Farm

End of West Field Road, Mendham

Open November 26 through December 24, 8am-5pm Tuesday-Sunday. Pre-cut trees also available. All trees grown at the farm are pesticide free. Refreshments available; free hay rides. Christmas shop with wreaths, greenery, centerpieces, and other decorations.

 

Holiday Tree Farm

Open November 27 through December 20, 9am-5pm Friday- Sunday. Saws provided. Christmas shop on premises with wreaths for sale.

 

Shale Hills Farm

Open weekends after Thanksgiving, 9:30am-dark. Pre-cut trees also available. Santa appearances throughout the day.
