To commemorate the 10th anniversary of those lost on September 11, 2001, the Young People's Chorus of New York CityTM will give four free New York City performances as part of the worldwide 9/11 memorials beginning Friday, September 9. The schedule is as follows:

Friday, September 9, 4:00 p.m.
St. Paul's Chapel, 209 Broadway - Free Concert

At St. Paul's Chapel, the historic 1766 building that will forever more be remembered as a refuge and place of healing and comfort following the tragic events of 9/11, the Young People's Chorus of New York City conducted by its Artistic Director/Founder Francisco J. Núñez will sing an inspirational program, which opens with Durufle's Ubi Caritas and also includes Rufus Wainwright's Bloom, John Corigliano's One Sweet Morning, and John Legend's If You're Out There.

Friday, September 9, 5:00 p.m. Outdoors at Merchant's Gate, the Columbus Circle Entrance to Central Park between 59th and 60th Streets across from the Time Warner Center

The Young People's Chorus of New York City will lead an outdoor congregation of all good people coming together in peace and unity to sing "Give Us Hope" by composer Jim Papoulis at the Merchant's Gate entrance to Central Park at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 9, as part of the September Concert Foundation's four days of 9/11 memorials to those lost 10 years ago on September 11, 2001. The September Concert Foundation encourages as many people as possible to sing the song with YPC at that time or any other time during the four-day commemoration period.

To prepare for the performances of "Give Us Hope," YPC Artistic Director Francisco J. Núñez and New York Choral Society conductor John Daly Goodwin have collaborated on several videos that teach soprano, alto, tenor, and bass parts for the song.
