A Fun Family Fundraiser in the Hamptons by Nanci Meyer

What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon in the Hamptons! The 23rd annual Albert Einstein College of Medicine‘s Family Fun Day, held Aug. 5 at the Ross School in Bridgehampton, was an exciting day for kids of all ages.

At this Wild West-themed event, families were entertained by a variety of games, rides, dancing, raffles, crafts and delicious fare. Some of the exhilarating highlights were trampoline bungee jumping, an array of bounce rides, and a special guest appearance by Elizabeth Gillies from Nickelodeon’s Victorious.

A DJ kept the party going while guests competed in potato sack races, a water balloon toss, a watermelon eating contest, and much more. Guest could also participate in the silent auction, which featured a private helicopter ride, Justin Bieber and One Direction concert tickets, sporting events tickets, and designer jewelry—just to name a few items. Also, new this year was the lollipop raffle, in which everyone was a winner.

Thanks to many generous sponsorships, this special annual event raises about $350,000 each year to fund breakthrough studies targeting women’s health and cancers.
