Bunny Hill Daycare & Learning Center for children ages 20 months to 12 years opened Oct. 6 in Dyker Heights. The facility is open year-round, five days a week, from 8am-6pm. The center focuses on expanding the children’s independence and view of the world.

“Our devotion to children celebrates the partnership between parents and teacher and allows each child to grow by loving, learning, and laughing,” says Leah Tong, owner. Every day, parents receive a daily report on their child’s learning, meals, toileting, and napping. Every week the parents receive a schedule and newsletter so they know what is happening with their child. Quarterly, the center has parent-teacher meetings to discuss the child’s progress and improvement.

In addition to its day care, Bunny Hill offers various programs tailored to specific age groups. The after-school class for ages 4-12 is designed to help parents who need assistance outside of regular elementary school. Children enjoy activities such as art, yoga, and theater performance. The 45-minute enrichment classes for ages 2-3 include cooking Mondays, art Tuesdays, science Wednesdays, and yoga Thursdays. The cooking and science classes help children practice basic math skills and figure out the scientific processes behind stirring, baking, and creating foods.

The center also offers birthday celebrations for all Bunny Hill kids of all ages. These parties include a 1-hour interactive art making session, a private party room, and plates, cups, and utensils.

Enrollment is currently open.
