Summer Day Camp in Melville Offering New Programs

Camp W Day Camp in Melville, added a variety of new programs to its roster for this coming summer. Director Evan Wofsy says their new programs include cooking, balloon making, science, a nature program, a new water station, and a new softball field available to campers. There will also be all new camp shows on Fridays.

“For the first time we will be having a camp sleepover and playing softball and soccer games against other camps,” Wofsy says.

The camp sleepover is for the oldest campers, but the soccer and softball games are open to campers 2nd grade and older, he says.

Located in the Birchwood Intermediate School, the same location as last summer, the camp is open to children ages 4-14. Camp runs for 8 weeks from 9am-4pm, with the option of before camp and after camp care.  Campers can choose which weeks they would like to attend. There is also a half-day option and bus transportation.

Registration for camp is already open and available on their website. Camp W is also hosting open houses on December 5, February 6, and April 17. However, prices increase on January 15.
