Celebrations in the Kitchen, a facility that specializes in baking birthday parties and classes, is now offering pizza parties for children ages 6 and older. The facility, located in Hicksville, is equipped with an exhibition-sized kitchen that was built to host up to 35 children bakers at once.

When children go to a Celebrations in the Kitchen pizza party they can expect to leave having made two different kinds of personal pizzas. The first pizza that children make is a Neapolitan. Each kid works with their own dough that they stretch out themselves. Once the dough is ready, the children work together to make pizza sauce from scratch. Next, they choose their toppings, including mozzarella cheese and pepperoni. While their pizzas are baking, the children will work on their second pizza of the day; a cookie pizza, decorated with melted chocolate and colorful candies any way they like.

Once the pizzas have been baked, the partygoers move to the private party room where they can eat and enjoy what they have created. “Celebrations in the Kitchen is unlike any other business in the area,” says owner Mike Marretta. “Here the kids are really baking things. They’re quite involved and fully engaged in a great baking event that is designed just for them.”

The pizza party, open to both boys and girls, runs for 90 minutes.
