Happauge Haunted House offers Family Fun Days for ‘Not So Scary’ Experience

Chamber of Horrors Haunted House in Happauge offers lots of Halloween fun, minus the scare for you and your family to enjoy. On Oct. 23 and Oct. 30 from 1-4pm, the normally high-intensity haunted house will turn their lights on and hold back on the scaring for a fun-filled day.

Actors will dress up in kid-friendly costumes along with fun makeup and escort children around the haunted house to show exactly how the “scare” works. Kids get to see the sets, costumes, and props with the lights on and without the music, to show them that none of the “spook” is real and that it is created just like a movie, says owner, Marty Arominski. While learning about the process of scaring, cast members will even help children prank and scare their parents.

Family Fun Day also provides kids with coloring books, face painting, and candy. Children can dress up in their Halloween costumes and trick or treat throughout the not-so-scary house with bags provided by Chamber of Horrors.

Bring your camera and shoot pictures of the little ones with fun and friendly characters. Normal rates are $20 dollars for four people, but with the Chamber of Horrors coupon, six people can attend for $20.
