Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is Coming to Broadway

The new teaser trailer for Broadway’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory has got fans counting the days until they enter a world of pure imagination when the show opens in April, according to a press release.

The show—directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien and starring two-time  Tony Award winner Christian Borle—begins  performances  Tuesday, March 28, 2017 and officially opens Sunday, April  23, 2017 at Broadway’s Lunt- Fontanne Theatre.

The infamous story by Ronald Dahl has been enchanting fans both young and old for more than 50 years. Willy Wonka, world famous inventor of the Everlasting Gobstopper, invites a select few—including young Charlie Bucket—to tour his marvelous and mysterious factory.

The live show has been delighting theatergoers over in London since it opened in 2013. Broadway bound crowds will also be in for a treat when they experience the world of Willy Wonka, which includes chocolate waterfalls, exquisitely  nutty  squirrels  and  the  great  glass  elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka’s army of curious Oompa-Loompas.

Tickets for the Broadway show will go on sale on September 16, 2016, and be available at CharlieOnBroadway.com or Ticketmaster.com.
