Indoor Play Space in Valley Stream Adds BEAM Virtual Playground

Cup O’ Fun Cafe, an indoor play space in Nassau County, has added a new BEAM virtual playground.

Cup O’ Fun Cafe, an indoor play space in Valley Stream, has added a new BEAM virtual playground to its more than 8,000-square-foot facility.

The BEAM playground combines a projection screen with motion sensors to turn a floor into an interactive surface with physical activities and educational games.

A new partnership with Mechy’s Deli provides healthy kosher food and snacks in the café area daily. During open-play hours, adults can enjoy a cup of coffee while their kids play.

Cup O’ Fun Cafe also offers a multi-level climbing unit with slides, tunnels, and a miniature rock wall. A multi-section block table, dress-up area, train table, baby dollhouse, and infant area provide entertainment for children ages 9 and younger.

Classes include Long Island Baby Ballet, Soccer Shots, and Mommy and Me, and are held in a private, quiet studio room.

“Many places have their Mommy and Me classes while open-play is going on around them,” said owner Gabriel Shimunov. “The instruction suffers and kids lose their focus immediately.”

Birthday parties get private use of the entire facility for up to 200 people and can feature themes, party favors, live shows, and character appearances. Stuff-A-Friend stuffed animal making is also offered daily.

Cup O’ Fun Cafe is located at 6 Rockaway Ave., Valley Stream. For more information, call 516-872-2600, email [email protected], or visit cupofuncafe.com
