Eglevsky Ballet Announces Guest Faculty

Eglevsky Ballet, a dance academy and professional ballet company, recently announced its guest faculty who will be teaching the Summer Intensive Programs.


Kaitlyn Gilliland of Twyla Tharp Dance (formerly of NYCB), Janice Barringer author of The Pointe Book, Brian Gephart formerly of the Joffrey Ballet, Calen Kurka the director of :pushing progress, Jere Hunt of Rioult Dance NY, Ashley Murphy of the Washington Ballet, and Ashley Tuttle Tony Award nominee for Movin’ Out (formerly of ABT) will be joining Eglevsky Ballet as guest faculty.

In addition to year-round classes, Eglevsky Ballet offers three Summer Intensive Programs for serious dancers: Ballet for ages 11-20, Ballet and Contemporary for ages 11-20, and Young Dancers for ages 7-10. Auditions for the ballet intensive classes will be held in several cities.

“Our programs are designed to provide the best training available in the area, as well as the best performances to enhance the art of actual ballet to Long Island and its surrounding community,” says executive artistic director Maurice B. Curry.

The mission of Eglevsky Ballet is to enrich the lives of its students and the community through the art of classical ballet. It desires to create an environment where students are able to thrive and develop as dancers, allowing for further development beyond the classroom. Eglevsky faculty is able to teach in an environment that is conducive to the rigors and demands of the art of classical ballet.
