13th Annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square - Lincoln Square
November 26, 2012 - Manhattan

The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District hosts its Thirteenth Annual "Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square," a huge, outdoor neighborhood festival featuring free family fun, children's activities, live entertainment from Suzanne Vega, Brave Combo, Avenue Q, Dirty Sock Funtime Band and more, outdoor food tastings from over 30 restaurants and shopping throughout the Lincoln Square area. Celebration begins (rain, snow or shine) at 5:00PM with a Neighborhood Tree Lighting ceremony at Broadway and 63rd Street. Food Tastings officially begin at 6:00PM. Free Trolley: NYC Parks Department will run a free Trolley service on Broadway throughout the event. Bus: M5, M7, M11, M66, M72, M104 Subway: 1 to 66th/Lincoln Center or A C B D 1 to 59th/Columbus Circle

Holiday Kids' Bazaar in Astoria - Minoas Cretan Social Club

Come shop for unique items and beautiful hand-crafted gifts for children created by talented local artisans and designers, at this bazzar sponsored by The Story Nook Children's Bookstore and babyNOIR Boutique. A portion of the funds that day will be raised for the Queens Library. In addition The Story Nook will be showcasing a wonderful selection of educational book/toy gifts and babyNOIR with their new winter children's clothing line, a local photographer will have a photo corner set up for kids’ portrait session,raffles, live music and more.

First Night and Tree Lighting - Old Westbury Gardens

St. Luke's School's Annual Christmas Fair - St. Luke's School

Children will win prizes in this traditional children's carnival, have loads of fun navigating the infamous St. Luke's Maze, decorate gingerbread cookies, and take photos with Santa! Bring family and friends for a delicious lunch with home baked sweets, pick up pies and cakes for seasonal parties and hear the St. Luke’s Choristers. Bid at the best downtown silent auction featuring local restaurants, event tickets, variety of gift baskets, and pampering services. Shop new and gently used designer wear, children's clothing and handbags at The St. Luke's Closet. Drop by the Elf Spa, where kids can take fun pictures as Elf, or get face painting, make-up, and hair styling. Highlights for kids include Shadow Puppet Shows by Nappy's Puppets at 10:30am, 11:30am, and 2pm.

Winter Family Day - The Morgan Library & Museum

This year's annual Winter Family Day celebrates the exhibition Beatrix Potter: The Picture Letters and the Morgan's annual display of Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol." Peter Rabbit, Jeremy Fisher, Jemima Puddle-Duck, and some of their most mischievous friends will join forces with Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, and the Ghost of Christmas Present to sweep families into a whirlwind of exuberant fun. Families are invited to join this merry bunch and enjoy puppets, an art workshop, strolling characters, a costume photo shoot, and more.
