Glyph Creative Studio Moves Photography Studio to Long Island City

Photographer Mariana Martinis opened her photography studio and office, Glyph Creative Studio, in Long Island City in May.

Martinis was prompted to relocate her business, Glyph Creative Studio, to Long Island City after falling in love with the culture and people in the area, as well as its proximity to the city.

Martinis offers traditional portraits at her photography studio, which is also set up for lifestyle photography. “What I love about lifestyle [photographs] is that they are more human, real, more authentic,” Martinis says.

She specializes in wedding and infant photography, and says what makes her photos different from other studios is she doesn’t pose people. “I find a way to make children, parents, couples, everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera and be their natural selves,” she says. Martinis credits her playful energy and shooting with natural light for helping her produce fun and authentic photos.

The photographer says it’s important to photograph moments in a newborn’s life because “children grow quickly and before we know it, they will no longer be little kids.” Martinis believes that the pictures her studio takes are not just for the parents, but also for the children to look back on one day.

Glyph Creative Studio is located close to the 7 train, which provides easy access for potential clients in Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan.
