Sportime, a tennis and sports facility with several locations in the New York area, is opening an Eastchester location in September. The new $4 million facility on the grounds of the Lake Isle Country Club will offer tennis lessons and court time for all ages and skill levels. The facility will be run by an international staff of professionals, and will also offer the John McEnroe Tennis Academy.

“John McEnroe will be on site on a regular basis to meet and inspire all competitive junior players in his academy,” says Eric Fromm, managing director of Sportime in Westchester. John McEnroe opened his first academy with Sportime two years ago, attracting hundreds of New York’s best junior players to learn from one of the most famous tennis players of our time.

Sportime will host United States Tennis Association adult competitions and 30 weekends of USTA junior tournaments when the venue is up and running. Sportime will also offer birthday parties and holiday camps for children interested in tennis, or have a passion for the sport.

The Lake Isle location will feature eight indoor clay tennis courts and a 5,000-square foot clubhouse on two levels with superior views. Along with its sister facility in Mamaroneck, Sportime offers 16 indoor/outdoor soft surface tennis courts in lower Westchester County, all within 15 minutes of each other.
