Preschool story time, including a craft activity, for ages 4-5 without an adult/caregiver. Literacy connections are made at "Stories & Stuff" where stories are centered around a theme and children listen and interact with corresponding rhymes, songs, and/or finger plays. A craft project ties in with the topic, fostering a sense that stories are imaginative, yet lasting, and continue to enrich our creative thoughts and play. Tickets distributed 30 minutes in advance.

Teen Thursdays - Yonkers Public Library - Riverfront

Tweens and teens are invited to hang out, create arts and crafts, make buttons, decorate cupcakes, play board games, take quizzes, enter a monthly teen raffle, win small prizes at BINGO. Open to tweens and teens, ages 12-19. Young Adult Room.

Tales for Tails @ The Field - The Field Library

Children in Grades 1 and up are invited (with a parent) to read to a special dog. All volunteer dogs are certified through The Good Dog Foundation. Sign-up required. At the end of this session, dog owners Cynthia Catts and Margaret DeFonce will demonstrate the agility skills of their Italian Greyhounds. The dogs have been trained to utilize equipment, including tunnels, teeter-totters, poles and standard jumps. The trainers work with the dogs, training them to navigate through a course with speed and accuracy.
