Long Island Nets Launch Dance Team for Kids

The Long Island Nets, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, are launching a kids dance team.

The dance team will perform at certain Long Island Nets home games at NYCB Live, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The dancers will also represent the professional basketball team during media events and around the community, according to a recent press release by the Long Island Nets.

The Long Island Nets Kids dance team will be lead by choreographer and instructor Christy R. Tolbert, who was named as head coach. Tolbert is a Long Island native who graduated from Long Island High School for Performing Arts (BOCES) and trained at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and Broadway Dance Center.
