Fencing is challenging and fun for children and adults of all ages.

Mission Fencing Center, the largest fencing center in the nation according to owner Jeff Salmon, shifted its focus to the Squire program for children 6-10 in September. Although Mission Fencing offers programs for children and adults of all ages, the change in focus was implemented to help train kids in the fundamentals of fencing.

“In this program, kids will get the basics of fencing down so that they are not having to play catch up in the upper levels,” Salmon says. “This is a strong program, and it really prepares the kids for the more advanced levels of fencing.”

The fencing center is not only large—30,000 square feet—but it also looks elite with hardwood floors and superior quality fencing equipment. Whether you are looking for beginning level classes, recreational play, or international elite, there are many options for children and adults with an interest in fencing.

“We have had a wide variety of children and adults sign up for classes,” Salmon says. “I’ve seen kids as young as 6 years old come in, and I’ve seen adults in their 60s.”

The venue is parent-friendly, offering access to view children practicing and competing. Refreshments, vending machines, and free Wi-Fi are also accessible to players and parents.
